Terwijl Abbas door de paus een ‘man van vrede’ wordt genoemd en het Westen hem steunt als de gematigde leider van de Palestijnen, die lang geleden al de tweestatenoplossing zou hebben omarmd, blijven door de PA gecontroleerde media een heel ander verhaal vertellen.
Dergelijke programma´s zijn geen uitzondering, en worden aangevuld door schoolmateriaal en leraren die de kinderen hetzelfde vertellen. Soms wordt daar nog aan toegevoegd dat het een heilige plicht is van iedere Palestijn om ‘Al Quds’ te bevrijden en dat het nobelste wat je kunt doen is sterven voor het geliefde vaderland.
