De afgelopen maanden zijn al verscheidene roadblocks en checkpoints weggehaald, onder andere rond Nablus en bij Ramallah, waardoor de Palestijnen tussen verschillende plaatsen vrij kunnen reizen. Het is te hopen dat hier geen misbruik van wordt gemaakt door tegenstanders van het vredesproces, en dat de Palestijnse Autoriteit alles binnen haar vermogen doet om geweld en aanslagen tegen Israëli's te verhinderen.

IDF SPOKESPERSON'S UPDATE
Ten Road Blocks Removed in Southern Herbon
Following decisions by the political echelon, and in accordance with security assessments, the IDF and Civil Administration are implementing a series of relief measures for Palestinians in Judea and Samaria.
Ten road blocks were removed from the area of southern Hebron. The recent removal of road blocks is a further step in the relief plan authorized by the Minister of Defense and the IDF Chief of Staff which has been implemented in recent months.
The IDF will continue to defend the citizens of Israel, while doing its utmost to allow the Palestinian population to maintain daily routine life.
