"Flag of Palestine" graphic going viral

http://www.elderofziyon.blogspot.nl/2014/11/flag-of-palestine-graphic-going-viral.html

This story from Factual Israel has been making the rounds:

This a Larousse French dictionary from 1939. In the appendix it lists all the then current flags of the world in alphabetical order. You’ll notice that for Germany at that time the flag was the Nazi one replete with Zwastika which proves that this was pre-1945 ( before 1945) ! .

Now, alphabetically, look for the Palestinian Flag. YES , there is one. What does it look like? Surprised? Oh, but you thought (Mandate Jewish) Palestine was an Islamic Arab-Turkish-, Circassian Sovereign State that the bad Jews took over , right?

I posted this graphic on Twitter and it has been retweeted over 200 times so far:

Now, that was not really the official flag of Palestine during the British Mandate. This was:

But it looks like a few Zionist flags were accepted quasi-officially as flags of Palestine as the entire world associated Palestine with Jews.

Wikipedia:

The Colonial British flag was not legal under the articles of the Mandate[1], and was used by Britain that tried to colonialize Palestine. The British flag of Colonial Palestine was not recognized by the League of Nations, the legal recognized flag was the flag of Mandatory Palestine. The Legal and recognized flag as shown in the Larousse 1924-1939 edition was the Flag with blue and white and a yellow David Star.[2][3]

Union Flag

Palestine ensign

During the British Mandate for Palestine from 1920 until 1948, the de facto flag was the Union Flag or Union Jack of the United Kingdom, but several localized flags existed for Mandate government departments and government officials. The only Palestine-specific flag not restricted to official government use was the Palestine ensign (red with the Union Flag in the canton, and a white circle on the fly with the mandate's name inside it), which was flown by ships registered in the British Mandate territory during the period 1927–1948. This flag had an extremely limited use on land, and was not embraced by either the Arabs or the Jews of the Palestine mandate territory. It was based on the BritishRed Ensign (civil ensign) instead of the Blue Ensign (used as the basis for the flags of nearly all other British-ruled territories in Africa and Asia), since it was only intended for use at sea by non-government ships.[4][5]
